Mandeville Bayou Castine Dredging
Meyer Engineers, Ltd., completed the design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and inspection for the Bayou Castine Dredging Project.
The project included the dredging of Bayou Castine and placement of the dredged material for marsh construction along Lake Pontchartrain.
A barge mounted bucket dredge dredged 11,000 cubic yards of material to improve navigation in Bayou. The placement of dredged spoil material along the shoreline was bounded by the shoreline and temporary silt fencing. Replacement of a concrete boat ramp and rock jetties was also included in the project.
